Metal Impact has a full capability impact extrusion plant designed to manufacture technical impact extrusions and low pressure cylinders. Highlights of equipment and capabilities include:

• 37 impact mechanical and hydraulic presses including 27 upright presses and 10 automatic horizontal presses.
• Upright presses with tonnage up to 1500 tons and strokes up to 36 inches.
• Horizontal presses with tonnage up to 1200 tons and capable of supporting production rates of up to 2,000 parts per hour
• Fully slug cutting facilities consisting of 5 high speed slug saws with the capability to cut up to 5 inch diameter aluminum bar.
• Two fully automated lubrication lines – one for phosphatizing and cleaning aluminum slugs and parts and a second for phosphatizing and cleaning steel slugs and parts. A full waste treatment system supports both lines.
• Two spray type parts washers for aluminum parts and cylinders.
• A full capability tool room capable of making nearly all of Metal Impact’s impact tools and machine fixtures. These capabilities include 4 CNC lathes and mills and both wire and conventional EDM capabilities.
• Various support equipment including rotary trimmers, a full service maintenance department, air compressors die presses, and a large inventory of production impact tooling.
• Two necking machines designed to neck low pressure cylinders up to 4.5 inch diameter.
• A production machining department with 55 machining centers including CNC lathes, CNC vertical and horizontal mills and rotary transfer equipment.
• Various support equipment including rotary trimmers, a full service maintenance department, air compressors die presses, and a large inventory of production impact tooling.
